What to Expect in a First Aid or CPR Class

If you’re feeling nervous about taking a First Aid or CPR class, you’re not alone. Many people worry about being put on the spot, doing something wrong, or feeling overwhelmed. The good news? Most classes are supportive, practical, and far more approachable than people expect.

A Welcoming Learning Environment

At Revive, classes are designed to be inclusive and comfortable — whether it’s your first certification or a renewal. Questions are encouraged, and no prior experience is required.

Hands-On, Practical Training

You’ll spend time practicing real skills such as:

  • CPR techniques

  • AED use

  • Responding to common emergencies

  • Basic first aid scenarios

Hands-on practice helps build confidence so you feel prepared, not just certified.

What You’ll Need to Bring

You don’t need to bring much:

  • Comfortable clothing

  • A willingness to participate

  • A photo ID (if required for certification)

All equipment and materials are provided.

Certification & Assessment

Certification is earned through:

  • Full participation

  • Skills demonstration

  • Completion of required evaluations

Your instructor will guide you through each step and make expectations clear.

Leaving Confident

Most students leave surprised by how comfortable and confident they feel. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s preparation.
